Day 1 – Arrival in Mindima – Skeleton Tribe
Travel through the spectacular Chimbu Highlands to the Omo Bruglgamo Skeleton Tribe Eco Lodge.
After lunch, meet the Skeleton Tribe and begin your cultural experience.

Day 2 – Skeleton Cave – Insect Hunters – Dust Shakers
After breakfast, make the guided walk to the traditional Skeleton Cave.
The journey provides excellent opportunities to experience the mountain landscape surrounding the village while learning more about the origins and beliefs of the Skeleton Tribe.
After returning for lunch, continue with two very different cultural traditions.

Day 3 – Hidden Tribes & Traditions of Chimbu
Today is dedicated to some of the lesser-known traditions and cultural groups around Mindima.
Depending on local availability, experiences can include:
- Mekudokodaka
- Spirits of Welame
- Traditional Bamboo Dancers and Flute Players
- Ceremony of the Dead
- Traditional gardeners
- Local medicine and traditional beliefs
- Visit to Pispis Rock
- Visit to the traditional sorcerer’s tree hut
The longer program allows plenty of time for photography without having to rush between performances.

Day 4 – Village Life & Farewell
After breakfast, spend a final relaxed morning with the local community.
